How do I do intermittent testing?
Intermittent fault detection is available on the AudioJoG and AudioJoG Rack testers from 3 to 8.
As the test compares actual connections found against a stored set of connections it is necessary to first store the cable details using the method described in the manuals. Once stored, with the MEMORY LED lit, simply press and hold the test button until the the MEMORY LED starts to flash. Release the test button and you will see all the LEDs associated with the connector pins glow slightly dimmer than normal. The test keeps going until a fault is found so that the cable under test can be bent, shaken etc. Once the test stops due to a fault, pressing the test button or unplugging the cable the test will return to the previous state and to start it again you will need to repeat the step above.
